Unimelb Studio Project
Founded through narrative formed around a fictional Syrian Journalist who moves to London after escaping the perils of his birthplace. Instigating thought about asylum seekers and journalists who have been ejected from their country, the response provokes a subversive message which empowers asylum seekers in their newfound homes. Trauma and knowledge would build the monolithic ‘Garden of Exiled Truth’ which is designed to be a haven and social space for networking and therapy. The architecture begins underground with an archive for storage and documenting collections of known truths. As you continue upward the premise of exposure and open air is a phenomenological experience encouraging discussions and instigating healing through conversation.
